Barn House is just five miles east of Bath in the Wiltshire countryside, offers accommodation set in the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Quietly nestled in the small rural hamlet of Middlehill, Barn House is perfectly located for exploring the famous city of Bath, as well as getting away from it all and enjoying the surrounding countryside.
Bed & Breakfast Rooms
Barn House B&B offers single storey accommodation, with just the odd step to negotiate. The rooms have been designed to give maximum flexibility and can cater for most needs. There is one en-suite room and the choice of two other large rooms with either private or shared bathroom. These spacious rooms can be modified to cater for adults and children or for two/three adults to share. Each room is equipped with tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer, TV.
Guests can also enjoy outdoor seating areas in good weather, overlooking the fabulous views of the local area.
Full English and Continental breakfasts are served in our farmhouse kitchen, with the Aga to keep you warm in the winter months.

Self Catering Option
Barn House also offers self catering for parties of 2 to 6 in two bedrooms with a fully fitted, eat-in kitchen and private access. The self-contained kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer, full sized oven and hob.
The two acre gardens provide tranquil sitting areas where you are welcome to eat your meals in a relaxed and leisurely manner. Families will delight in the large field where family ball games may be played in a safe and friendly environment.
Minimum stay of three nights for self catering.
Graham and Theresa Cogswell have lived at Barn House since 1992 and since that time have developed both the house and gardens to what they are today. Barn House, built from natural stone, is a single story building dating from 19th Century, it was first converted from a farm building to a dwelling in 1910.
Around and About...
Barn House B&B is situated on the outskirts of the village of Box. Local amenities include great pubs offering real ale and good food, a small supermarket, a post office/newsagent, a chemist and a petrol station (with shop and ATM) all within a mile of Barn House. Box village has a large recreation ground, with amazing views, offering play equipment and tennis facilities.
You can also enjoy the beautiful walking area with clearly defined footpaths. Graham and Theresa are happy to give you some advice of walks from Barnhouse, with a good pub en route if required!
