Highclere's four self catering flats are on the edge of the golden hillside hamlet of Widcombe, largely rural in outlook, but so near the heart of the city.
The property is late Victorian with many original features and has been sympathetically converted into four spacious one bedroom self catering apartments, each of which providing accommodation for two to four persons.
It's four self catering flats enjoy commanding views across Bath. The ground, first and second floor flats have panoramic views over the city with its Abbey, Roman Baths, River Avon and its bridges.
The comfortable apartments are a home from home and can be used for holidays and short term temporary stays. Each attractively furnished apartment has one bedroom, lounge/dining area, a bathroom and kitchen. Each have their own colour television, video recorder, DVD/CD players, night storage heaters/electric fires, clock radio, radio, hair dryer and ironing facilities.
The modern fitted kitchens are fully equipped with; washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge, freezer, cooker, microwave, toaster, kettle, cutlery, cooking utensils and porcelain china.
There is a full-service payphone in the foyer of the accommodation from which local, regional and overseas calls may be made and received. Each apartment is separately metered for electricity.
Well behaved dogs are permitted. WiFi is available.
The Garden Flat: The garden apartment has its own entrance and double doors to the garden and patio with an open aspect over the garden and the city.
Ground Floor Apartment: The ground floor apartment has a fully furnished lounge/diner. The bedroom has twin singledivan beds
First Floor Apartment: The bedroom has twin single divan beds, which can be converted into kingsize divan on request. There is a comfortable bed settee which makes one double or two single beds. There is an en-suite bathroom and a separate shower and WC off the hall. This flat is four star rated by Visit England. The bedroom is large and bright with lovely views across the Smallcombe valley and the surrounding hills.
Second Floor Apartment: This flat is four star rated by Visit England. The bedroom has new twin single deep divans beds which can be made as a kingsize on request.
The views are superb across the city of Bath from all the apartments and, with badgers in residence at the bottom of the garden and wildlife in abundance, it's not surprising that the owners, Liz and Jack Daniel, find it easy to provide a "Superb Service with a Smile".
